Reitz at Terre Haute South: #ReitzFootballFriday Week 2 presented by Tracy Zeller Jewelry

#RFFThe Panthers started 2015 in exciting fashion by trouncing Henderson County, 62-14.

Now they’ll go up against former Southern Indiana Athletic Conference rival, Terre Haute South (1-0), who won their opener against Evansville North, 26-7.

201502The Braves were members of the SIAC from 1971 to 1981 and won three conference titles (1973, 1980, 1981). Additionally, the Vigo County school is actually one of the few teams that Reitz has never defeated, as Terre Haute South won the only three encounters in 1979, 1980 and 1981.

The Braves are coached by Tim Herrin, who is 13-10 in his third year.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. central time in Terre Haute.

  1. Rudy…I checked the WJLT website. They will be broadcasting the game on their station with pre-game beginning at 6pm Evansville time. Also, Terre Haute station the Fan 1130 AM will live stream as well. Go Blue!

  2. By the way, I’ve long been an advocate of starting the “Reitz Nation Sports Network” so that proud Reitz grads (Class of ’76) can watch the video live stream of Reitz football/other sports! What is the feasibility of this…realizing that the IHSAA must sign off on broadcast rights, distribution of revenues, etc, Fans of Reitz athletics would love to have the option. I believe since 10,000 at the Bowl would be a great crowd for a big game…a matching amount might pay $10 a game to follow the live stream. What say you?

    1. I would love this. Definitely some logistics to work through but I think this would be a great feature.

      I’ll start asking around 🙂
