Calvin Brinton, Joey Diekmann nominated as Week 2 MyPantherTees.com Player of the Game finalists

The Panthers earned their first-ever home win over Terre Haute South this past Friday night, and while there were many who helped contribute to that victory, two were nominated by PantherPlus members as Player of the Game finalists. They are:

Calvin Brinton
The senior had 10 catches for 130 yards with one touchdown, plus another 25 yards from a punt return. His 10 completions are the second-most by a Panther in a single game*. He’s tied with Cuda Dimmett (10/22/10), Malik Higgins (8/29/14), Will Brown (8/21/15) and Elijah Dunham (10/30/15). No. 1 is Jordan Summers with 11 catches on Nov. 10, 2012.

* – individual offensive stats available back to 2005

Joey Diekmann
The junior lead the Panthers defensively with 12 tackles (eight solo & four assisted). He also blocked a field goal and had one interception.
