Lewis headed to Henderson County
It’s official. Tony Lewis is now Reitz High School’s former head football coach, as he has accepted the same position with the Henderson County Colonels.
Lewis leaves the Panthers with a 53-11 record in 5 years.
Lewis had previously coached at Wheelersburg (Ohio) High School and has a career record of 100-32.
No word on who will be the Panthers’ new head coach, although the rumor mills are already running wild.
Ironically, Lewis’ first game with the Colonels will be at the Bowl against Reitz for both teams’ season opener on Aug. 23. That could be an interesting game!

That summer, as the popularity of the Internet began to explode, Engler's search for Reitz Football information came up empty, so his father suggested he create a website. Engler taught himself HTML and launched the Unofficial Reitz High School Football Home Page that August.
Since then, Engler, through ReitzFootball.com, has spent the past 25 years chronicling the rich history and tradition of Reitz High School Football.
Engler and his wife, Melissa, have two sons, Logan and Micah, and a daughter, Juliette. Engler has traveled all over the world but is proud to call Evansville his home.
