Five Panthers named to 2016 AP All-State team
Five Panthers were named to the Associated Press 2016 All-State football team, it was announced yesterday.
Class 4A Offensive team
- Cole Jarvis (offensive line)
Class 4A Defensive team
- Jackson Ashby (defensive line)
- Joey Diekmann (linebacker)
- Elijah Dunham (defensive back)
Honorable mention
- Isaiah Dunham (wide receiver)
Four of the five were also part of the IFCA’s All-State team. Elijah Dunham will also have his name added to the all-state players section on ReitzFootball.com.
Ashby and Jarvis were also included on the IFCA’s Class 4A senior all-state team, while Diekmann and Isaiah Dunham made the junior team.

Dan Engler's love for Reitz Football goes back a long time. Engler played for the Panthers all four years of high school and graduated in 1996.
That summer, as the popularity of the Internet began to explode, Engler's search for Reitz Football information came up empty, so his father suggested he create a website. Engler taught himself HTML and launched the Unofficial Reitz High School Football Home Page that August.

Engler and his wife, Melissa, have two sons, Logan and Micah, and a daughter, Juliette. Engler has traveled all over the world but is proud to call Evansville his home.
