Four Panthers named all-state
Four members of the 2017 Reitz Football team will forever have their name enshrined as all-state players.
The Indiana Football Coaches Association, which announced their all-state team two weeks ago, placed wide receiver Isaiah Dunham, running back Da’Ziaun Sargent and linebacker Joey Diekmann on the Class 4A senior team, while Logan Maynard made the junior team as an offensive lineman.
Diekmann and Dunham were members of the IFCA’s junior team in 2016.
The Associated Press announced their team Wednesday, placing Dunham on the Class 4A first team at wide receiver and Sargent as honorable mention running back.
Congratulations to these fine young men and all the Mighty Panthers who brought out the best in them!

Dan Engler's love for Reitz Football goes back a long time. Engler played for the Panthers all four years of high school and graduated in 1996.
That summer, as the popularity of the Internet began to explode, Engler's search for Reitz Football information came up empty, so his father suggested he create a website. Engler taught himself HTML and launched the Unofficial Reitz High School Football Home Page that August.
Since then, Engler, through ReitzFootball.com, has spent the past 25 years chronicling the rich history and tradition of Reitz High School Football.
Engler and his wife, Melissa, have two sons, Logan and Micah, and a daughter, Juliette. Engler has traveled all over the world but is proud to call Evansville his home.
