Reitz knocks off #1 Owensboro Catholic, 40-6 (8/25/07)

The Panthers crossed the Mighty Ohio for the first time since 1984 this past Friday night, and knocked off the top-ranked team in the KHSAA’s Class 2A, defeating them 40-6. This was Coach Hart’s 60th win with the Panthers.

Catholic (0-1) will play city rival Owensboro Senior next Friday night.

Reitz will open city and SIAC play next Friday when they host Memorial next Friday.

In a scheduling twist, Reitz played Owensboro Catholic and Owensboro Senior plays Memorial tonight. Next week, they switch opponents.
