David Townsend, Jr. is a member of the Reitz Football Hall of Fame Class of 2014 and was an all-state linebacker for Reitz in 1992.
As defensive captain of the 1992 Panthers, he earned all-state honors and led the Panthers to their first semi-state championship game. He led the team in tackles in 1991 & 1992 and was the first linebacker to return an interception for a touchdown since Don Hansen in 1961.
