==============================

The Panthers will battle Harrison (7-4), the defending sectional champions, this Friday night at Romain Stadium. Reitz (10-1) beat the Warriors earlier this season, 23-6, on Sept. 16.

Last year, the Panthers won the battle but lost the war. The West Siders won the regular season meeting, 28-0, but were knocked off by Jasper in the sectional semifinals. Harrison won the sectional championship a week later by defeating the Wildcats.

Head coaches
Reitz head coach Andy Hape, now 38-9, is 4-0 against the Warriors.

Harrison is coached by Cory Brunson, a former assistant coach and all-state player for the Panthers. Since taking over the east side program in 2013, Brunson has compiled a 21-22 record and is 0-4 against his alma mater.

Series history
Reitz leads the series, which started in 1964, 45 games to 16, with one tie.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
