Four Panthers named to Home Team Friday’s All-Century Team
Home Team Friday has been doing a phenomenal job of documenting the city of Evansville’s first 100 years of interscholastic high school football. As part of this ongoing series, they’ve announced an All-Century Team, which includes four Panthers:
By school:
4 – Reitz
2 – Bosse
2 – Central
2 – Harrison
2 – Mater Dei
2 – Memorial
2 – North
1 – Rex Mundi
While we would have liked to have seen more Panthers on this list, Reitz did have twice as many as any other school.
Hats off to the Home Team Friday team for their “100 Years” series and undertaking this monumental task.

Dan Engler's love for Reitz Football goes back a long time. Engler played for the Panthers all four years of high school and graduated in 1996.
That summer, as the popularity of the Internet began to explode, Engler's search for Reitz Football information came up empty, so his father suggested he create a website. Engler taught himself HTML and launched the Unofficial Reitz High School Football Home Page that August.
Since then, Engler, through ReitzFootball.com, has spent the past 25 years chronicling the rich history and tradition of Reitz High School Football.
Engler and his wife, Melissa, have two sons, Logan and Micah, and a daughter, Juliette. Engler has traveled all over the world but is proud to call Evansville his home.
