Cory Brunson named new Reitz head coach

ReitzFootball.com is excited to announce that the search is over for a new head coach, and boy did we find a good one!

Following Monday’s EVSC school board meeting, it was announced that a member of the legendary Brunson family has become Reitz Football’s 14th head coach.

Cory Brunson, an all-state player for Reitz in 1995 and 1996, had coached at Mount Vernon the past three seasons and at Harrison for four years. He helped turn both programs around, and before that, he had served as an assistant for the Panthers from 2008 to 2012, helping with the Panthers’ state title run in 2009.

“It was a goal growing up to play for Reitz, coach at Reitz and hopefully one day become the head coach,” Brunson told the Courier & Press. “It’s definitely a great opportunity. I can’t wait.”

Congrats, Cory!
