Since 2003, (almost) every year, I’ve posted an April Fools Day joke on the website. I toyed with the idea of that again this year, but I figured with everything going on right now, I decided against it.
No extra stress, just some happiness. With that in mind, I’ve updated the list of all my former April Fools Day pranks.

- 2006: Vandals strike Reitz Hill, cut off leg of the R
- 2007: USI to begin football program
- 2008: Rudy to step down as webmaster for ReitzFootball.com and take over WarrenCentralFootball.com
- 2009: Company installing new turf declares bankruptcy…no football in Bowl this year (sorry again!)
- 2010: UFO visits Reitz Bowl
- 2011: IHSAA announces new football classes; Reitz moves down to Class 3A
- 2012: no prank
- 2013: Whicker announces fourth book in series
- 2014: New high school to open on West Side
- 2015: Giant R to be removed from Reitz Bowl for some games
- 2016: Rules committee to allow forward passes on kick returns
- 2017: Nut Club trophy accidentally broken
- 2018: Reitz opened in 1916? New evidence puts 100-year celebration plans up in air
- 2019: How could this happen? (weight room painted as Reitz Memorial)
